The 2007 Statistical Abstracts will be released tomorrow and among the data in it are the latest stats on American media habits. Staggeringly, Adults and teens will spend 3,528 hours -- that is 24 hrs/day for 5 months or 10 hrs/day every dey in 2007-- consuming media: watching TV, internet surfing, listening to MP3s and reading newspapers. More specifically, the average American will watch TV for 65 days, and spend just over a week on the Internet.

In other words, the only exercise the average American will get next year will be from walking between their TV and their computer.
