10.14.02006 Yossi on what motivates us

Over dinner in Morocco this evening, old friend Yossi Vardi noted my earlier entry on what motivates internet use ( ) and volunteered his own list of the following three motivations. With tongue planted only lightly in check, Yossi concludes that three desires motivate much of adult life:

First: The desire to live up to our parent’s expectations

Second: The desire to prove to our children that we are smarter than they think

Third: The desire to find the food our mother made for us
